When I purchased this router, I purchased the wrong modem. That was a mess lol. But the router signal came through strong and clear. My connection lags at times, but I get a lot of outages in my area. This router has yet to disappoint. I rarely every have to reboot it which is amazing. I know I made a sound decision when I got this.
